NaBloPoMo

National Blog Posting Month

November 2007 Badges

Here are the official participants badges! You'll need to upload them to your hosting service and then link back to nablopomo.com. (Further explanation below.)

Other badges by NaBlo members:

Click here to grab one of Sara's end-of-the-month badges.
Here's one from partofeverything.
Here's another, courtesy of Subversive Cross Stitch.
And one from Mrs. Fussypants.
Mathew from Sporky.net made this fine contribution.
Here's one from Drew.
And one from Jules.
And check out the "I Survived" forum where people are adding new badges, and check out the comments at the bottom of this page, people are linking up a storm down there.

Link the Randomizer badge back to http://www.nablopomo.ning.com/random.html

You can right-click, ctrl-click, or drag any of the above badges to your desktop. Then you'll need to upload the badge to a server. If you have your own URL, you probably know how to upload an image. If you have a Blogspot blog, you can go into the screen where you create a new post and you should see a little button that looks like a photo with a lot of blue sky. If you click on that button you'll get a popup window that will let you browse your computer to find the badge image you want to post, which will be on your desktop. This will then upload the image onto Blogger's servers and allow you to put a badge in a blog post. If you want to put a badge in your sidebar, just copy the url that Blogger has given you for the badge image (it will be something like http://www.blogger1.photos.nablo07_micro.jpg) and paste it like so between the quotation marks that come after img src=

This bit of code will post the image and link it back to nablopomo.com. You'll have to go into your blog template and paste this whole line of code where you want it to show up in your sidebar.

I have no information on uploading images in Wordpress-hosted blogs, or LiveJournal or MySpace, but perhaps someone will provide some help in one of the forums if you leave a request.

Good luck and feel free to contact me at nablopomo {at} gmail {dot} com if I can provide any other assistance!

Love the cat!

Gosh, I sure with that badge with the cat didn't have that awful
spelling. It took me forever to figure out what it said, and I'm
not sure why the statement has to be misspelled. Even if the
average cat is dumb, which it's not, I wouldn't make the cat of a
writer a poor speller. C'mon! We're writers.

The misspelled cat badges are a play on the LOL cats, take a look

Leslie F. Miller, I'm so sorry, I have not had time to make a
splendid array of badges, I will make a few more now that
everything appears to be working around here. You should also feel
perfectly free to make your own, as many have done. Image Chef will
give you lots of choices. http://www.imagechef.com.

Josh Eisenberg Comment by Josh Eisenberg on October 30, 2007 at 10:56pm
For some reason that cat reminds me of Tina Fey. I can't figure out
why.
Special Kay Comment by Special Kay on October 31, 2007 at 12:28pm
I'm a blogger not a writer. Which is funny since I am a fighter not
a lover. Just sayin'. Love the cat. :)

I think the LOLcat needs to be on a shirt... anyone... anyone? :D
Liz Rizzo Comment by Liz Rizzo on November 1, 2007 at 7:47am
I would totally buy that shirt. BTW, I could use a randomizer
button that's less wide, more vertical. More sidebar-y.
Eden Marriott Kennedy Comment by Eden Marriott Kennedy on November 1, 2007 at 2:05pm
I can put the cat on a shirt at CafePress, I'll try to do that in
the next couple of days. Need for new Randomizer button noted as
well!
