ProSumer Power!

Fortune magazine calls the New Millennium the "Age of the Consumer." And for good reason. With the advent of on-line shopping and the expansion of huge discount chains, prices for goods and service continue to drop, "saving" consumers billions of dollars every year.

But wait - are consumers really "savin

I'm really not familiar with a lot of the free blogs. I know people have them, but I haven't since 02. I did recently start a Vox blog which is free because my sister convinced me that it was fun. So far it has been. It's very interactive and an easy way to socialize and network. You should try it if you're looking for something free but that is yours. You still can't manipulate the code for your design, but it's a step in the right direction. It's a fun way to learn more and meet people that have experience with it.

well, i just looked and from what i can tell you don't have an actual "blog" do you? Did you just set something up here for NaBloPoMo? or do you have another free blog somewhere else?

What started you blogging, by the way?

It's amazing to think about it, but I have been blogging for about 9 years. My main blog only goes back to 2005, but I actually started it in 2002 and just revamped in 05. I originally started on Diaryland 9 years ago so I've had a lot of time to get used to it and the design process. Thanks for the compliment. It's great to hear!

I had it on my main blog - http://www.neptunebaby.com I even put it in place of my desktop on my sidebar so it had it's own little place on my site - blogrush likes to complain if you just throw it at the very bottom of your site and there was talk of them banning people if they did that in the future. oh well. it didn't hurt anything to try. maybe you'll have better luck.

I don't know why the click through rate is so low. I thought it was going to be a great way to increase traffic, but you can't make someone click on your link. They (meaning blogrush) tell you to make the titles of your posts interesting so that people will click on them, but if you make them too interesting they don't even put them on the widget. it's quite ridiculous.

I hate to be the one to tell you, but BlogRush sucks. I had the widget on my site for several months and it doesn't do anything. I removed it from my site. No one clicks on it from their own site and Blogrush censors what they will put on the widget.
