Name or Pseudonym:
Jennifer
About Me:
I'm Jennifer from Raleigh, NC, a 44 year-old blogger of several years, prone to spilling my life's minutiae all over the internet on a near-daily basis. Anything you could possibly want to know about me can be found there. For the record, I was a near-miss NaBloPoMo'er last year. Couldn't quite drag the blog across the finish line. Am expecting much better things from myself for 2007's event.

Hair we are.

A note: this post is the direct result of an uncanny confluence of events. First, I am working on two family projects that require massive hours of photo viewing/sorting/scanning. Second, I need a haircut in the worst way. Third, I...

November 30: It ain't bragging if you can do it

Added a post Nov 30 2007

First, I'm posting an "ode to NoBlo" on my blog, and then I'm going to STEP AWAY FROM THE KEYBOARD. For a little while, anyway. Congrats, all! Read More »

Does anybody know how to swap things around in the sidebar area? I'd like to move the photos box down the page and bump my rss feed up closer to the top, for example. But I can't seem to find a way... Read More »

An Ode

Thirty posts hath November,

which comes to one per day,

with nary a word written worthy to remember:

it's the grand old NaBloPoMo way.

November is ending, and so, too, the event,

and not one single moment too soon.

Had this day not come, you couldn't prevent

me from poking my eyes out with a spoon.

But even though it was a challenge, and I often stumbled

just wondering where to begin;

and though harsh daily complain…

Is this thing on?

I'm trying to decide if I have the mental capacity to maintain a page here and my blog, too. Especially with the posting every single day bit. But when I click over here and see a virtually blank page with no virtual friends, it makes me, I don't know, what's the non-ethnic word for verklempt? Anyone?

Hey, thanks for starting the NC faction! I just checked out your blog because let's face it, I have no life outside of blogging, reading blogs, thinking about blogging... So my question is WHERE did you get your NC NaBloPoMo tag??? Did you make yourself? what talent! very cool, indeed!

In Indian Ocean Creole, it would be "pope jab", but that's ethnic, too, and really obscure, so no help at all.

I was drawn to your page because I have a daughter named Jennifer who lives in North Carolina. I'm on the other side of the planet, so any chance to feel close is nice. Thanks for that.
