About Me:: Hi! I'm Debra, a 40-something, single woman living and working in the corn fields of central Illinois. Actually, I live in a perfectly pleasant little community near Peoria and work for a Fortune 100 global company…but there is a corn field across the street, so I wasn’t exaggerating too much.

I blog about books, work (cryptically), volunteering, my terrific friends, and Vincent D'Onofrio, who I adore and if he wasn't married, I would move to NYC and stalk him outright.

A Lazy Sunday

My living room has a vaulted, two-story ceiling and the south wall is composed almost entirely of windows. I have been lying on the sofa, inching my way further and further west, following the sun's rays like a cat.

In between naps, I've caught snippets of food shows, comics, and movies on television. Now I'm watching the movie, The American President. This is one of those movies that, regardless of when I've last seen it, I will invariably sit down and watch it again. What is it about…
