Steelers Sunday Snapshots

We didn’t actually get to watch the game today. That’s right. Instead I had to watch the Bengals bungle another one. Considering that the Bengals lose to the Ravens, I really would have rather watched them pull off a win. But, as usual, they disappointed. But it’s okay. Because our team won. And life is [...]

Wherein I Blather About Penn State

I know last week’s game was only Costal Carolina. I know that’s not really representative of bigger games to come. But, oh, wasn’t the 66-10 score lovely? Wasn’t it also lovely to have a quarterback who could, well, quarterback? Yes. There was much loveliness last week. Today we’re pairing off against the Oregon State Beavers. (3:00 [...]

Please Stand Up 2 Cancer Today (And Always)

Yesterday I shared a Love Thursday post about my Mom, her battle with and triumph over Breast Cancer and how it has changed our family. I thought today would be a simple write up and urge to go ahead and launch a star, write to your congressmen or to tune into the telethon on ABC, [...]

Babywearing Review + Deal for You! (That Rhymes!)

You guys know I’m a babywearing Mama. I love it. I swear by it. It really makes my life easier just to toss LittleBrother into a carrier and go. Babywearing has helped me lose weight after each of the boys were born as I’ve taken to walking with them as both a bonding experience and [...]

Love Thursday: My Mom Stood Up 2 Cancer

This is my Mom. The photo on the left was taken during the summer of 2006. BigBrother wasn’t yet a year. She loved wearing him in my first Mei Tai. She loved the bonding time spent with her oldest grandson. She loved being a Yia Yia despite not being Greek. Life was easier then. The [...]

Why is November Two Days Away?

And why am I having lots of contractions? And why don't I have my ideas pinned down? And why and why and why?

My brain hurts.

Mulling Ideas

I could, to benefit readers, pick one topic to completely dissect during the month of November on the Birth/First Parent blog. Thirty days is too short to look at post-adoption contact law in all fifty states, unless, looking at the list now, I'm combining states with no specific wording on the books concerning post-adoption contact. (Only 22 provide specific wording on the topic.) So, technically, it's also too short a topic for 30 days if I l…

A Wrinkly Idea; Where's My Iron?

I've been mulling over ideas for themes for each blog. So far, I have a lot of mostly-nothings and one possible-something.

For the family blog, I am considering "A Countdown to Birth." November 1st will mark 31 days til Parker's due date (December 2nd). While none of these posts will likely be anything Earth-shattering, it would be nice to follow the last month of what will be my last pregnancy that leads up to what will be the last delive…

What to NaBloPoMo This Year

On the family blog, I just did a mish-mosh of everyday postings for the entire month. That was rather difficult. On the birth/first parent blog, I did the Thankful Series, which was easy but makes me unable to do it again over there this year. (Why? I'm thankful for the same things!) I'm also adding a third blog this year (I'm…
