About Me:: I started my blog on LiveJournal earlier this year just to have an outlet for the thoughts constantly running through my head. I found out quickly that I enjoy writing, that I really want to get better at it and deep in my heart, I am a comment whore - not a bad combination for a blogger.

I'm 39, married to a wonderful guy for 17 years and we're raising our 5-year-old son in a lovely small town in Missouri.

Can't keep up...

You know what's on my mind today? Comfort, and all those little habits and preferences that surface when you're feeling under the weather...comfort foods, comfy clothes, favorite old movies, things like that. I'm not really a Mommy Blogger...

...even though I'm a mother. I never planned to have children. I wasn't even sure I wanted children. After twelve childless years of marriage and a miscarriage, I assumed motherhood was out of the question and I was perfectly okay with that assumption. What Have I Done?

When I signed up for NaBloPoMo a few weeks ago, I had no idea how much it would intimidate me. It was intimidating enough to step up and proclaim that not only do I have a blog, I have a blog so interesting people will want to read it every day for an entire month!
