To get this group started, how many tattoos does everybody have? I have eight, my last one added on October 6th. Everytime I get one, I think "this is the last one" but before I know it, another idea pops into my head and my thoughts are all a buzzin' with what/where. I know everybody says this (and unless you have one, you just don't know) but it's so damn addicting (and expensive)!
i currently have 20 but once you get a certain amount, i think it all becomes one. my next one is this month. i'm married to a tattoo artist, which makes things nice. :]
I have three so far...the last one still isn't done, it's a giant butterfly back piece, the first 6 sittings were done back in 2004, 1 sitting left. My tattoo artist and I disagreed on colors so I never went back.
well, i only have one. for now that is. and i got it back in '96. but ever since then i have been wanting to get at least one more done. the thing is, i just hadn't been inspired enough to do so. i think, though, that i have finally got an idea, well, make that two ideas for sure and one more i'm still ruminating over. anyway, the tattoo i would like to get done next would be some kind of scroll work that goes across the tops of both my feet. i don't know why, but i have been obsessed about doing it since i did a henna tattoo a few years back at a street fair. anyway, i want to also work that same scroll work into the tattoo i currently have. i designed it myself and always had in mind that i would one day add to it. now i have the perfect excuse. i want my tattoos to be cohesive in some way and not look so random. so that brings me to the third tattoo idea.
i still don't have the image yet in my mind but i do want put a tattoo either right at the base of my neck or down in the triangle of my lower back. i imagine it to be something circular but what exactly it will be has yet to come to me. maybe someone here will inspire me. that would be cool!
I only have one at this point but my second one is under consideration. We are in South Korea right now and their tattoo skills are almost non existent. I will wait until we are in the states again.
gosh lemme think... i've got my half sleeve, a dragon fly on my hip, a four leaf clover on my big toe, a ladybug on my neck, and the word cupcake on the inside of my lip!
I now have four - much to my mother's dismay. *L* the first three are here:
And my fourth I just got two weeks ago on my vacation - the story of which can be found in the midst of my vacation recap here. It's a memorial tattoo for my husband (1972-2005) and I'm pretty sure he'll be eternally amused by it. Originally I wanted it to 'match' the ankle bracelet, but well, we couldn't get his favorite things all represented in something matchy, so we went for something totally different. The favorite things? Mickey Mouse, inebriation of a couple sorts (whiskey and herbs - the latter further represented in the 'clouded' background under the night sky), family (the stars represent me and the three kids) and his Celtic heritage (the knotting - which Zombie freehanded.) Had to have the hat, because it was his prized possession that TBF (who drew the tattoo) and I bought him on my first trip to CA. *g*
It's still healing, and I'll probably have to have a couple parts touched up later, but I love it muchly. It will take me another two years at least to get up the nerve for another. *L*
It's true, I only have two at the moment but there are plans for a few more...piercings tend to be a bit less expensive and take less planning so I have wound up with more of those!
I only have two :( The first one I got is getting covered up because it was done VERY poorly. December 20th I have my first sitting with Justin at Fat Ram's Pumpkin Tattoo in Jamaica Plain, MA. I'm REALLY psyched. It's going to be a big back piece. I have plans for more that will be a 1/2 sleeve but first things first. :)
Hey, I have two. I got my first one for my 29th birthday. It's three butterflies on my lower back. The 2nd one I got three months later as a memorial for my nephew that passed away when he was 19 months old. I am constantly debating about whether to get another one. I LOVE MINE! My husband would rather I stop at the two I have, but I know if I want another one, he won't put his foot down about it.
