NaBloPoMo

National Blog Posting Month

Well, go on! Introduce yourselves, strangers!

Hi there and thank you for joining my group of randomness! I'm Maria and I'm in our nation's capital and I like the idea of blogging for thirty days because writing 2000 words a day for thirty days is impossible with a toddler.

Whee! I'm done. Now you?

(Pee Ess: The group graphic comes from here and was a perfect example of how cool randomness can be. So there.)

Welcome! Oh, don't you just love a newborn babe? *smile*

There's no standing in the corner here. As a matter of fact, this is a round forum, is it not?

indeed...walk in an say hi...we're a friendly bunch!

the standing in the corner bit will make you no new friends, so find someone who sounds interesting, go to their blog, comment on their posts, and voila! you meet some great people here; some who seem to share your same thought pattern and others who make you see things in a new light.

I love that this group exists! I prefer blogs that talk about everything and anything because there's always something new to enjoy. I'm glad to see so many other people feel the same!

see, i do have a topic and it's called LIFE. life is definetly random. so my randomness is a result of my limited topic known as life. it's a paradox, i realize, yet everyone blogging is a victim of it.

heh.

Yup, definitely the category for me - I blog about anything I see, hear, think, whatever. A lot of pictures because I'm a visual person though. :) Maybe you'll like it?

Hello!! I'm Melanie, and I live in Connecticut, and I love the name of this group because it fits my blogging perfectly (I think). And I am both loving and loathing the challenge of a post every. freaking. day. It feels like good exercise but also slightly like torture.

Hi. I am interested (and not interested) in a lot of stuff and I have a short attention span, so naturally my blog really has to be about nothing. It all started back in 2002 when I got a temp job so insane that it had to be documented. I had a Diaryland journal for that, and when I got a "real job" I continued writing about whatever was irritating/amusing me at the time: mountain biking, art, television, fashion, books, the weird guy who delivers the mail in my building. This spring I ditched Diaryland for Blogger and also created a separate blog for my biking stuff, because why have one blog to stress you out when you can have two? Whee.

Wow. That's so funny, a friend and I were just talking about how we kinda missed diaryland about an hour before I read this (I'm a wee bit behind on my forum reading).

Okay, time to introduce myself.

Hi group. I'm Jonna, aka The Tattooed Mommie, aka o0jonna0o aka tekkie, aka..secret agent... well you get it.
I'm a blog-a-holic and frankly, the idea of blogging strictly on one topic kills me. I've started numerous blogs with the idea of keeping them on topic but it just seems as if you're not really getting "the rest of the story" when you do that.

Seriously, isn't it more fun to see spontaneous randomness?

So, nice to meet everyone.

I'm so glad that this group exists. It sometimes seems as if most of the blogosphere consists of niches of mommies, geeks, etc., so it is good to know that there are other bloggers who just blog about whatever the hell they want!

Ain't nothing like organizing the aimless! Thanks for establishing this group. I'll echo what others have said: many things interest me, so blogging on one theme would be maddening to do and vexing to read.

After reading some of these introductions, I feel like I've found my people!

Focus on a single topic??? That seems like it would be the same as focusing on only one child or trying to drive a 1 wheeled car. My blog was once called "all purpose." I guess that fits.

I started my blog three years ago as an outlet for all that was going haywire in my life. A therapy blog, if you will. Everything from my new (at the time) separation to the sham election and all points in between. Much more fun than paper journaling.

I love how this group has become sort of an existential junk drawer in the house-- defying organization yet utterly essential.

Keep it coming folks! And to the n00bs, please say howdy!

Hello, I'm a sex worker (an erotic masseuse - oh, please don't go all moral on me. It's a dirty job, somebody's got to do it) and I started off writing about that, but then I got bored (penises are not terribly interesting really) so now I just write about whatever takes my fancy. I even wrote about lesbian cows the other day. I think this qualifies me as being random enough for this group.

My blog generally goes under the "what the hell are you waffling about now?" category. I always find it a pain in the rear when someone asks what the topic/genre is and I respod with "ummm, well, whatever catches my eye actually!" Up until the last month or so I was a very sporadic blogger, but then with seven kids - one of whom is only 3 months old, it's difficult sometimes to get the time to do it! Like now for instance, even as I'm typing two of the girls - aged 4 and 2 - are screaming at each other.. oh the joy! :D
