must-haves

What are your fashion 'must-haves'?
Not necessarily clothing items, but your fashion secrets...

for me, it's Blister Block - I have one in my car, one in my home and one at my office. Highly recommended! Protects those sensitive areas on your feet from rubbing and blistering.

And, Hollywood Tape - keeps straps in place, flapping wrap dresses unflappable and keeps those gaping/gapping shirts closed!

Honestly, I can't live without Payless shoes. I know they're cheap, and that you're supposed to buy quality that will last, but still. They have cute, trendy stuff, and I don't care if it gets wrecked by another harsh MN winter. Salt is bad news on shoes, let me tell you!

I buy Payless, too. It's one of the few places I can find shoes in my size (12) that are cute & trendy! If I really like a pair, I'll buy 2 :)

Ooo, buying in bulk! In shoes, no less. You are a savvy shopper. Have you checked out cutesyshoes.com? They have an amazing selection.

I never knew about either Blister Block or Hollywood Tape.

I love Payless...especially if you find one that happens to be an outlet. I have given up on buying Payless for tennis shoes that last though. I should have to buy a new pair of shoes for work every three or four months...I work retail and there is a lot of legwork but still.

I know that I looked at cutesy shoes at some point? Do you know if they accept PayPal?

You know, I have no idea. ARGH! I'm sorry! How useless am I? All I know is that their shoes are fabulous, and that they blind me to the practical matters. Like whether or not they accept PayPay.

In winter in Minnesota, I also can't live without tights. Under my pants, with skirts, they just keep my legs warm.

I have a few must-haves. Ever since reading the "What Not to Wear" books, I've done a much, much better job of dressing in a flattering way for my body type. I have developed a deep love for platform shoes, pointy-toed shoes, wide-legged pants that hit a gal mid-waist, good bras, v-neck sweaters, and one of my wardrobe staples are tank tops under everything. They add a subtle hit of color to tie in a bag or a pair of shoes, a touch of warmth in colder climes, AND prevent embarassing reveals. I also think maybe it's impossible to buy too many wrap dresses? Flattering to all body types, versatile, simple and will probably look stylish for-evah.
