NaBloPoMo

National Blog Posting Month

Who is still going the pace with NaBloPoMo?

With the final stretch in sight, who is hanging in there?

Is this event more challenging than you expected? In what ways?

Or do you find it easy? If so, what's your secret?

If you missed a day or two, did you get back up and keep running with it?

I'm doing fine. But then, this isn't much of a challenge for me because I'm a compulsive blogger to begin with and now that I'm on extended sick leave with no kids, have more time on my hands than ever, and there isn't much else I want to be doing really.

I love that I've met so many wonderful people during this event. Including YOU Sbw... :-)
But where is your post tonight, huh?

Me, too, although I dropped the ball on a couple of memes because i was distracted by nanowrimo and kept getting distracted and forgetting to go back to them.

I'm still in! Had a bit of trouble when we moved and my boyfriend didn't place "Hooking Up Computers and Internet" at the Top of the Priority list, but I do have at least one post for every day of the month.

By the hair of my teeth I am hanging in. Havent missed a day. What has saved my butt is doing some posts in the late evening then another after midnight, is that cheating? Not in my books:)

Unfortunately, I didn't find NaBloPoMo until late in the month. But having found it, I have been able to prove to myself that I CAN write everyday; as a matter of fact, it's fun. Now, whether anybody else in the whole world is going to find what I have to say on a daily basis interesting, pithy, or of any value at all, is another question entirely.

But it's out there.

I might as well answer my own questions! I'm really glad to read that others found the Thanksgiving week difficult, because I really did. I think I can rally for the final few days.

Up until Thanksgiving I found it challenging, but not draining, to post everyday. My favorite time to post is around midnight. One post before midnight and one after...two days in one sitting. Simple pleasures like that make me smile in blogland.

I will finish the month and that feels pretty great. I am VERY IMPRESSED with the other bloggers I have met through this event. If you think I'm talking about you, you're right.

It hasn't been too hard. I've done over 100 posts and luckily have never had to do a meme. I never run out of random crap to post on, and seeing as how I don't have much work, it's easier to just spend the day blogging. I do know that I'd prefer not feeling the need to post everyday, but since I'm at my computer working anyway, I just toss up a post while I'm waiting for something to load or save.

With the final stretch in sight, who is hanging in there?

I'm still going, although I've found the month seems to h sed ove very quickly.

Is this event more challenging than you expected? In what ways?

I found last week I didn't feel compelled to write anything, although I did, the posts seemed forced a little.

Or do you find it easy? If so, what's your secret?

I have two blogs, one I use to write about TV/Movies/Books etc, and I've been following I'm a Celebrity so its been very easy to write posts, (although for anyone bothering to read it, it may not be that interesting!). It has been easier to write that blog because when I havent been covering I'm a celeb, I've written reaction posts on my favourite shows, so I haven't been without content to add to it.

If you missed a day or two, did you get back up and keep running with it?

I have missed a few days, mainly because of internet problems, but although I felt a little dejected for not having a clean slate, I didn't let it get to me.

I'm still here.

I didn't find it more challenging than I expected, though there were some difficult days (but I expected that!)

I thought it was fairly easy, but not easy. I think a good "trick" (since you asked for "secrets!") is that if you know you have a few days coming up when it'll be difficult to blog, try to start writing posts for those days a few days in advance. Then on those difficult days more than half of your work will already be done.

Haven't missed a day yet. Only a few more to go!

Still trucking- my blog's theme appears to be the incoherent mind of a crack addict, but I'm still here.

I'm still going strong. There were a few near misses but I never had to back date. I think I'm going to keep it up. I usually used to post once or twice a week, but now i know that I can keep up the pace!

Well, unless something drastic happens, I should easily finish out NaBloPoMo in style. There is a debate that I'm covering tomorrow, which should give me plenty of material for tomorrow and Friday. I also have a few Second Life posts to get up tomorrow and Friday.

Perhaps next year, I should go for some sort of two-fer... Try to put up at least two posts a day during the month, or chose two topics that I'll post about every day.

Anyone else up for raising the ante?

I actually did that this year... sort of.

I decided to try to write a 30 days of thanks post every morning and a "normal" post every evening. It wasn't my plan to be 100% perfect with this (like I'd planned to be with making sure I got all 30 "thanks" posts up and a post a day for Nablopomo) but I came pretty close. On days where I was busy I got my 30 days of thanks post in (which also fulfilled my Nablopomo quota for the day) but didn't always go for the 2nd. And I'm ok with that :)

(Looking at my total I've posted 28 "30 days of thanks" posts so far (one each day) and 22 additional posts this past month.)

I'm doin' it. My mother--one of my most dedicated blog readers!--is sad that the month is almost over, but I'm a little less so. I'd like to think I'll keep up the pace going forward, but truth is...nah. Won't happen. Hopefully I'll keep it at around 4-to-5 times per week instead of my usual average of 3. We shall see...Having more people visit has been a blast, though.

Two days remaining and Twelve Two Two Fondue is hanging in there. A couple of days have been close with postings around 11:30 pm, but count 'em, 28 to date! And, most with recipes.

It's been fun!

With a few days left I am at 32 posts for the month thus far - a new record for me. It has been challenging; some days an idea for a post doesn't come to me until late in the evening. However I kept going, even taking the laptop on a family vacation week-end just to ensure I could make my post per day quota.

I'm hangin' in there. Keeping it short and sweet in the tail end... very tired of blogging. ;) I'm used to once a week, at most!

The challenge has been good for me. It's kept me from blowing off a good many days that I might have otherwise. I have been inspired to choose more difficult questions to answer, too.
