What do you do for a living?

I am a WOHM - graphic designer/web developer and sometimes freelance photographer. I've been working professionally since 1991.

To make things more interesting, my hubby works at the same company I do. Although it *does* allow for lunch dates!

Hi Aimee! I admire whatever fortitude it must require to work with your husband......I'm not sure I could do it, although my husband is my very best friend. I think he'd kill me.

Hi Angela! This is actually the second job where we have worked together! It certainly has its challenges... like "what do we talk about when we get home!!??" but it's also fun! ;)

I sometimes daydream about starting a business with my husband....but then sanity revisits me. We rarely talk about our separate work lives at home now...other than about the people or situations that make us crazy. And I sometimes wonder, if I worked in HIS office, would I be the crazy person he wanted to talk about home?

I think I'd kill by husband if we worked together. We're both insufferably bossy. Which one of us is worse, well that depends on who you ask! (IT'S HIIIIMMMMM!!!)

But since I'm an accountant, and he's an IT guy, there's little chance of us working right along side each other, unless we owned our own business.

Hi... I work at the University of California, Santa Barbara in the Global Studies dept. as the "Web and Publications Coordinator" which translates to ANYTHING that has to do with the web site, graphic design, desktop publishing, and resident tech geek.

I'm also mom to Sofia, who turns the big ONE 11/17. She's our one and only (and last!) child, and was born 3 months early. What a roller coaster!

I work full-time at an outpatient mental health clinic in Vermont. I like having structure in my day (although I'd like just a little less of it).

I work in Commercial Lines Insurance, helping clients through their claims/litigation process (never a dull moment). I'm also mom to Tyler, 11 (also never a dull moment). No wonder I'm tired. :)

I work in a university admissions office. It's mostly data entry loading applications to our database, but it pays well and I get free college tuition. I'll hopefully be starting a master's program here soon to take advantage of that perk!

I'm a real estate recruiter, which means I call real estate agents all day long to try and convince them to join my company. As a former introvert, I'm more surprised than anyone by how much I love and enjoy my job!

I help a lot with my husband's business as well-he owns a commercial tile company. I provide any professional writing he needs, as well as some occasional hard labor.

My girlfriend, Keli, and I work together in our business as well as live together. You guys are right. We have has our loud discussions about different aspects of our business. Yes, it's nice sometimes to get out on my own with friends. Yes, we are opposites in most every way in how we approach things. But, we also have the opportunity to really know each other and we have grown individually as well as together because of this.

It's probably not for every couple but, never having time together would be a tragedy too.
